ConsoleGaming Announces Summer Ladder

On Monday 7th July, the Call of Duty (PS3) Arena will be launching the summer ladder.

This ladder will be the same as any other ladder that you have competed on, however, there have been some significant rule changes that you should all be aware of

* Quads ladder will be closed and the summer ladder will have options of minimum 4v4 and 5v5

There has been MASS inactivity on the quads ladder, and we have decided it is now time to close this ladder as it will be even more inactive when clans on the main ladder will also be able to play 4v4.

* The bomb timer (SABOTAGE) will be changed to 90 seconds and 5 second plant/defuse time. (This will be a trial to see how well it will work)

This increase in time will reflect clan’s teamwork as they will have to work together for longer to keep their bomb safe.
There was also a decision made to reduce the plant and defuse times so again more teamwork would be needed. (This may be changed back to 7.5 seconds after 2 weeks trial)

* The round time on S+D will be dropped to 3min.

Again to increase teamwork

* There will also be an override for all game modes and not only S+D, so you can play all sabotage if you wanted (again on a trial basis)

Since we offer clans to play S+D only we thought it would only be fair to offer other clans the same options with the game modes.

* There will be no options of respawn timer on the challenge; we will decide what the respawn times will be.

The respawn time can no longer be overridden by the challenge template as it only causes confusion, and we have calculated the best times for each mode.


NOTE: Any Challenge that is scheduled for after this date will be void and the challenges will be removed.


We also have plans that will bring the crown onto the ladder MUCH sooner that it has in the past, so don’t forget to sign up for the new ladder when it is launched.

SIGNUPS START ON THE 5th, Since there will be a lot of clans comepting for the top of the ladder, we reccommend use the match finder to post matches on the 7th or after.
